Project coordinator Joanne de Vries with MCRI’s amazing display at Kelowna City Hall that showcases fish, turtles, and owls created by children at the 2014 Fat Cat Festival. Each of the more than 400 children who visited the booth created a unique and special Kokanee Salmon, Painted Turtle, or Western Screech Owl that was then put into the creek on the mural you see on display. There were so many, we couldn’t showcase them all!
A big THANK-YOU to the Lake Country Art Gallery for its help before, during and after the festival. And to artist Bobby Vandenhoorn who created the mural, which can be used again and again at different events!
